Nia E. Husk, BA, FCP
I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2010. While there, I majored in sociology and Spanish and minored in theology. Following graduation, I continued my education by attending the Emmanuel School of Mission in Rome, Italy. This program reinforced my aspirations to teach theology, leading me to go on to teach at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California in 2013.
It was around 2008, while studying at university, that I first heard about the Creighton Model. During the summer of 2010, while traveling on the East Coast, I met Dr. Anne Nolte who greatly inspired me with the witness of her experience with the Gianna Center, the first Catholic Women's Healthcare Center in New York City. Over the next 5 years, drawing from my interests in both marriage and the family, as well as my deep love for St. John Paul the Great's Theology of the Body, I cultivated a passion for teaching about the inherent beauty of fertility, which isn’t always recognized in today’s society. My combination of academic degrees, training as a practitioner intern, and personal usage of the method all contribute to my overall ability to teach the system and teach it well. With the support of my loving husband, Philip, I am currently a Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner serving the Galveston and Houston areas. I look forward to earning certification by mid 2018 and one day hope to be able to serve the Spanish-speaking population with my work.
I, as a FertilityCare Practitioner, am an advocate for authentic women's healthcare. I am your own personal CrMS Chart expert. I will work with you to teach you how to chart out your monthly menstrual cycles in the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ standardized fashion, so that you will know your days of fertility and infertility as well as recognize abnormalities straight away.
